Company Overview

Donell Edwards began speaking while still in high school. He was voted “best speaker” in his high school speech class.

He became a radio announcer at the age of 16, and quickly became one of the most popular announcers in the city.

He has received acclaim on a regional level from speaking regularly at regional conventions. Donell has spoken to audiences as small as ten people, and as large as ten-thousand.

Donell was trained as a life-coach by Coach University, one of the most respected coach training organizations in the world, and has been a member of the National Speakers Association.

Although Donell has a powerful voice and a dynamic on stage presence, he does not try to overpower the audience by shouting and screaming. His strength is in the power and effect of his message, former Vice President of Alltell Communications, Dan Thompson, describes him as, "A charismatic speaker, Donell keeps the attention of his audience...he makes every respective member of the audience feel that he is talking to them personally."

Donell learned the concepts of self-motivation, which he developed into his New Motivational Paradigm program, from the tough lessons in life. He has experienced downsizing, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and loss of self-confidence.

He was hired by IBM Corporation in an entry level position with only a high school education. He quickly worked his way into management and was with the company for over eleven years before being downsized.

What makes Donell special and effective is that he has experienced first-hand the highs and lows of life and knows how to overcome adversity. He can relate to those who are faced with extreme challenges and transitions in life, as well as those who are successful. He also applies many of the principles of coaching in his speaking presentations, which gives his audiences the tools they need, on a personal level, to consistently unleash their greatest power, and effectively combat life's most daunting challenges on a daily basis, long after he is gone. The goal of Donell Edwards Enterprises is to be a difference maker that produces lasting results in the lives of everyone who hears Donell Edwards speak.
